"Rosemarie" (Niel) Horst Schimmelpfennig, 1935

German love song composed in 1935 by Herms Niel (1888-1954), with lyrics written together with Erik Wallnau. Performed on Wurlitzer organ by Horst Schimmelpfennig and sung by Erwin Hartung and a male quartet. Recorded in Berlin, 1935.

Additional info: song originally has four strophes; 1st, 2nd and 4th recorded. [by the way, this is the "real" Niel's "Rosemarie"; his later - and better known - song about a Rosemarie, today best known under this title, was actually officially named "Es ist so schön, Soldat zu sein"]

Note: mono recording, from D.C. 78rpm record collection; not to be used for commercial purposes.
