TREES AND LONELINESS (Earl Okin/ Simone Avadis)

In 1968, Dick James passed two demos that I'd recorded of my songs (with lyrics by Simone Avadis) to Cilla Black. These two songs were recorded (with wonderful arrangements by Mike Vickers and under the supervision of now legendary producer, George Martin) at Abbey Road Studios for release on Cilla Blacks EP 'Time For Cilla'. The track here is from that EP, though it's now available on CD. The other song recorded that day, 'Abyssinian Secret' has already been uploaded to YouTube. Earl Okin. 2014.
