We cannot help mothers and babies if we do not believe in birth.

We have to believe in the mothers ability, her power, her body, and her baby.

Being hands-on at every birth, without a clear medical indication effects the mother and baby on an emotional and physical level. It’s a clear, hard, and loud way of physically communicating to the mother that she was not made to birth and you lack belief in her body and baby.

Always manipulating, managing, and pulling babies out of a mothers vagina should not be the standard care in the United States or anywhere in the world. But it is. The truth is that most women will give birth on their backs while she is told to push and her baby is forcibly removed from her body.

This strips the mother of her power, her primal instincts, her confidence in her body and baby. She walks away from the birth with the feeling of “I couldn’t birth my baby on my own.” She digests it all, translating it into fear, feeling violated and traumatized. And she carries this for a lifetime.

Managing and manipulating the baby completely ignores the mothers own natural expulsion of the baby, it strips the baby of time and his right to fit his head and shoulders perfectly to manage his mothers pelvis and vaginal canal. When we completely ignore physiological birth and it’s nature by being hands-on without a need to, we can also cause more damage to the mothers perineum and pelvic floor.

The physical manipulation and management of the baby can also cause physical problems for the baby itself. All babies, especially those born forcefully should seek chiropractic care to release tensed muscles and get aligned to reduce physical pain/discomfort and even other ailments like acid reflux in the baby which is commonly caused by these types of births.

Because babies can be born without us pulling them out.
