Instincts in birth cause us to do everything our bodies and babies need. Instincts cause us to do things very naturally, automatically, inherently, involuntarily.

When a leave a mother to birth her baby unhindered and undisturbed, she will guide the birth with instincts.

But in a largely medicalized world, we push instincts to the side and we birth on someone else’s terms. We fail to utilize our most honest and valuable tool, our instincts. We are made to feel like we will be lost and won’t know what to do. But you will know, you just have to listen to your body and baby.

🌾Her instincts tell her to trust her partner

🌾Her instincts tell her to hold her baby to her chest
🌾Her instincts tell her to suction her baby’s mouth, and she did this so instinctively that she did not remember clearing her baby’s airway until she saw this video.

We know how to create a human in our womb. We know how to birth. And we know what our babies need. Follow and trust your instincts. After all, your instincts have been with you all your life. She knows you and your baby best.
