USD Jazz Ensembles with special guest Scotty Barnhart

The USD Jazz Ensembles under the direction of Dr. C.J. Kocher and Dr. Tim Farrell presented a concert on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. in Colton Recital Hall in the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts. The concert featured special guest Scotty Barnhart, who has been a trumpet soloist with the Count Basie Orchestra for the last 20 years. Barnhart is a two-time Grammy Award winner with the Basie Orchestra and has performed on three critically acclaimed recordings by pianist Marcus Roberts and over 10 recordings with the likes of Tony Bennett, Diana Krall, Ray Charles, and Tito Puente.
